website, based in Ireland is intended to promote county Sligo, with special focus on
surfing at Strandhill Beach.
Our
live surfcam (surf web cam)
and links to surf weather
reports provide watersports enthusiasts and ‘weekend
warriors’ alike with all the latest information to plan their
surf adventure holiday in advance.
Sligo
is unique in its geographic location and gets the most consistent
swell of anywhere else in Europe. A short drive west or north
along the coast will take you to other famous surf breaks
such as Lackan Bay, Kilcummin, Enniscrone, Easkey, Streedagh,
Tullan, Bundoran and Rossknowlagh.
Essential
local knowledge regarding the aspect
of strandhill beach should help you get familiar with
surfing this famous beach break and what conditions work best
(in respect of tides, swell direction, potential hazards etc.)

sports safety and
etiquette are covered extensively on this site to
introduce those new to the sport of surfing in being aware
